The Book of Eric

How much do you really know about yourself? If someone asked you right now something like, “What do you like in a girl?” or, “Where do you see yourself in 10 years?” or, “What values do you appreciate most in a person.” Not the most demanding questions, but the ones that you actually have to think about. Do you really know what you would answer? Or do you know that the answers you would give are the ones you actually appreciate, or are they just the immediate default answer. I think that a lot of people say that they know, but they really don’t. Or maybe it’s just me, because I know when I thought about it, a lot of my answers were different than what I originally thought.

That’s what I’m starting a new project this year. Nothing serious, but I want to call it the Book of Eric. You know the movie the Book of Eli? Where he has the bible, written only in braille, but the book means everything to only him. It’s sort of what I want to do, write something that means everything to only me. My idea is just on every page to write down a title, like “Hobbies I Like” Simple shit, but stuff that not a lot of people know about themselves. Writing down everything about your life, from stupid things like how I like to study, to what I like in a girl, to who I want to be to others. I think it would be a cool thing just to figure out who I am and what I like, not a lot of people know everything about themselves, and it’s seems sad to me.

But I think people should try it, writing down pages and pages of just things that make them who they are. So I just wanted to share my latest endeavour, and I’d encourage you to go try it, even if it’s just because you’re bored on rainy days, you may learn a lot about yourself. I haven’t posted in a while, just wanted to put up another post; enjoy it, and I dare you to try it!
